Keeping our Delivery Charges Down!

As you may already know, Royal Mail have recently increased their postal rates. This happens every year, however this time it's been a much bigger increase than it has been in recent years.

It has always been our policy to pass on delivery charges to our Customer at cost, rather than inflating them so we can make our products look cheap, or discounting them, and hiding the extra in the product price. (Sadly both of these rather misleading practices are widespread in internet retailing.)

So the bad news is that we've had to revise the postage rates we charge in line with the increase. BUT, the good news is that, for 1st Class Parcels between 1500g and 3kg, we've been able offset most of that increase because we send so many parcels that we have just qualified for an extra discount, meaning we now charge LESS than you would pay at the post office!

Lastly, we'd like to ask everyone who uses and appreciates our service to help us share it with more people. We're a bit cynical of offering a financial incentive for referrals as the simple truth is it has to come from somewhere, which means extra pennies on our prices, so if you like what we do then please tell your friends about us! Better still, if you are active on a social networking site, maintain your own blog or are otherwise in a position to offer us any publicity then we would REALLY appreciate any mentions you might be able to give us - and we'd also be very happy to return the favour!

Also, if you pay by Google Checkout then please consider leaving a review with them - many of our competitors have suspiciously large numbers of Carbon Copy reviews which makes it hard for us to stand out... Good (we hope!) or bad, let the world know what you think of us!!

It's still a difficult economic climate out there, so on the featured pages we are going to put items that we consider to be jolly good value for money as well as helping out the old environment. We hope you agree!
