holos - an ancient greek word meaning whole or complete.... that's how we like to think of our approach.
At holosfoods, we offer you a broad range of ethically sourced, organic, healthy and interesting foods, groceries, beauty products, baby products, household products and more at sensible prices and with minimum environmental impact. People like to argue whether global warming is real, whether going carbon neutral can possibly make a difference etc. We don't know for certain, we're not scientists. However, we absolutely believe in respect for people and the world around us.
One of our primary aims is to keep costs low, both financially and environmentally, so we might not always be the quickest or the cheapest (we do try!) however we are always honest and transparent and open about the way we do business. We don't hide costs and offer false discounts - you pay a fair price for what you buy and the services you use. In reality, we often are as quick as the giants, it's just that we give you an accurate lead time on your order rather than just leave you to wonder each morning if your parcel will arrive.....We really do, wholeheartedly, believe that you can enjoy the good life without it costing the earth!!!
The Nature And Nurture Network
We also believe in helping people who are not catered for by bigger businesses - if you have special dietary requirements or live in a remote area then we are here to help - and we won't make you pay for the privellige! We aim to provide comprehensive allergy information for all of our products, plus other information like recipes and reviews (it's in the pipeline!). In fact anything we think you might find useful!Instead of letting Big Business profit to the detriment of individuals, we want to build a network where everyone gets a fair deal.... from the producer right through to the consumer. We believe that Fairtrade isn't fair if you have to pay over the odds!
We believe that by creating this network we can start a consumer driven revolution that will change the way that people shop forever. We are a commercial enterprise, but our profits are modest profits and are largely ploughed back into the business and our team.
